| About Rakuten Bank | Rakuten Bank is the second oldest online bank in Japan, which name was E
Bank before and has changed to the current name since the bank was acquired by
Rakuten Company. As of August 2011, it is the largest online bank in Japan with 3.82 million bank accounts. Branch bank office's name is unique such as Jazz, Rock, or Samba. They are associated with music genre. When started, banking servicing was only available online and no cash card was available. In 2004, the bank issued their first cash card. Since then making deposits and withdrawals has been available at ATM machine. Types of accounts Personal account - for individuals (consumers) Personal business account - for individual businesses. Corporate business account - for corporations. Account mainteance fees Personal account, personal business account, and corporate business accounts are all free. Rakuten Bank Cash Card They do not have thier own ATMs, but you can use ATMs at Seven Bank, Aeon Bank, E-Net, Lawson's to deposit and withdraw money. You can also use your Post Office Bank to withdraw or deposit money into the regular savings account. When deposit and withdraw is dealed at these ATMs, A Notification E-mail is sent to you automatically. This function is set as default. |
